As part of the art project “Alpaka Frühschoppen,” conducted in the Salzkammergut, an alpaca was purchased, slaughtered, and grilled whole to be offered at an event. This performative action aimed to address the regional double standard concerning the supposed idyll and sustainability. By staging a confrontation with the reality of meat production, the discrepancy between the romanticized image of rural idyll and the actual practice of meat procurement was highlighted.
